The Blind Fold

The Blind Fold

Where technology is a boon for us, but contrary to it the bane repercussions aren't less. Every day when we get on the streets, we find people glued to their devices, busy texting, watching videos or playing games on their mobile phones. These walking pedestrians are lost in their own world and they don't understand how they are a major distraction to other people on road. The people walking abreast of the road are so much engrossed in their devices that they sometimes forget that they are on roads. A report suggests that 1,000 new users are being added every minute globally. Not just this, but there are people who cannot see beyond the walls of their mobile phones because of their addiction to toward it. Flaunting your shiny mobile device has no longer remained a status symbol for anyone. People now can easily risk out their life for merely some "very important" messages or calls which cannot be neglected while on streets. Even the death and accident rates of people on mobile phones while crossing the zebra line has increased over the years. Several recent studies have also shown that people who use their phones when walking or driving have slower reaction times and pay less attention to their surroundings. It the responsibility of the government to cater to the laws and see that special laws should be made so that such things do not happen in future.
