The Unfolded Story...                                                                                                                                          On one hand where the word “Feminism” is ruling the atmosphere, the slogans of Feminism is roaring all over the country but contrary to it the mentality isn’t showing a rise on the social graph. Our society’s discomfort with sexuality and especially with women’s sexuality has meant that it has always tried to view sexual pleasure with guilt and shame. This is when they (society) in order to protect their own means of interests starts blaming others for “corruption”. Which so called happened with ‘karanjit’. Where she  was ridiculed as being the most ‘Googled’ person of 2015 even more than our very own Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi which was repeated several times. The interview of “Karanjit” was a classic case of a man silencing a woman by the act of hijacking her story and trying to substitute his own. The saying that ‘your past sometimes rules your  present’ has in a way proved correctly in her case. Working in a porn industry as a porn actor was not her soul dream but her choice of career does not give right to anyone to show pity or start patronizing her.  In her interview she said “Everything that I have done in my life has led me to this seat. Everything  is a stepping stone…I met an agent  and when I saw these photos of women , I didn’t think it is vulgar. I didn’t think it was wrong. I thought it was beautiful and sexy”. It is to her credit that she made a conscious career choice, excelled in it and then moved on to a different field. She was interrogated in a way as if one would grill a convicted animal and not a film star. The tinge of boldness, braveness and proudness of what she did was clearly visible in her words and in her thoughts as well. She did not regret what she did in the past. The story of Karanjit inspires every woman who aspires to achieve something very big in life but gets off track due to certain allegations, regrets, criticism. If you revert back to such criticism allegations by your work then nobody can stop you to become a successful person in life. And  specially to mention that Karanjit is none  other than ‘Sunny Leone’.
