Fan following.....when we hear this word an imaginary picture of having blind faith on a person be it a famous personality or a celebrity.Nowadays people have more faith on celebrities rather than god.And television specially play a major role in portraying the 'so called' image of a celebrity. But the fact does not change here that some famous personalities may have a large fan following on one hand but on the other hand have large cases pending there in the court. The recent and the much talked and hyped case of Salman Khan where he almost killed a person and injuring 2 in his hit and run case. The whole country was busy praying and talking about the star but nobody spoke about the people who got affected by his rash driving. And how can we forget the Hema Malini case, where she killed a 4 year old girl and her comments over this accident was very piercing.Again her car was driving at a speed of 100 kmph. Now in both these high profile cases who is to be blamed?.Such high society people think that they can get away very easily by breaking traffic laws or rules. But under the Motor Vehicle Act of 1988 fines would be enforced on persons who break the laws under different criteria. But now laws are only on paper never applied on practically.Offering some amount would let you free of any case.
From the very beginning of our life a word called education is hammered inside our head.Education here is given a lot of importance.Good education leads to a good job and good job leads to a good standard of living, but does this education is of any use ? The answer to this question is a big NO!! What is the use of education when such educated people break laws.On road we can expect a rickshaw puller a cyclist or even a auto driver to break laws because they are not aware of some traffic regulations but we cannot expect such educated and literate people to break laws. How many of us really know that we're breaking the law every time we take a U-turn over a solid center line on the road. Then there's the most famous 'Free left turn'.We seem to think this gives us the carte Blanche to turn into ongoing traffic without a second thought. And let's not even begin talking about lane driving.
The government data estimates that Mumbai,Delhi,Kanpur are cities which have the largest amount of road accidents.Mumbai has the largest with 25471 accidents and Delhi accounting to 7281 accidents.A very commonly broken law is talking on the mobile phone.Sometimes all business meetings are done on the mobile phone while driving. This could lead to a major accident. We have provisions for this in the law which states that under the Motor vehicle act of 1988 driving with a mobile phone is considered to be a rash driving and negligent act punishable under section 184 of motor vehicle act.No driver while driving shall use a mobile phone, but how many of us are aware of this law.We people love to call ourselves as civilians but we are civil+villains=civilians.Just imagine how would B.R Ambedkar feel right now ,if he were with us?.The poor soul and his team spent months maybe years framing India's constitution.Over time some laws have been broken so often with ought any repercussions that we barely acknowledge their existence. How may of us like really follow the speed limit. In India we have no limit to our speed. These could be the reason why India is still a developing country...
